Namaste! I've long been something of an amateur gypsy and have lived in six different states, California being the one where I've spent most of my life. San Francisco will always hold a place in my heart, but since I moved to C'ville about six years ago, Virginia has really grown on me and I am finally and happily putting down some roots.

I'm often an exercise in paradox. I'm an introvert masquerading as an extrovert. I'm a fiery free spirit with a loyal heart. I'm a sarcastic --- and a total sweetheart. I will surprise you, no doubt about that, and I promise in pleasant ways. I will challenge you. I will hope for much from you, because I give so much in return.

I have a lot of interests, and am a very passionate woman... I dig the idea of creating things that are both beautiful and useful with my own hands. I paint with acrylics, primarily portraiture. I sew as much of my own clothing as possible, and am getting into quilting. I also love to knit in the winter, usually gifts for people I love. I am probably one of the few women you will meet who actually owns her own compound miter saw.

Weather permitting, I LOVE spending time outdoors, be it tromping through the woods somewhere with my dog and kiddo in tow, wading through a stream, camping in Shenandoah NP (now literally at my back door!), mountain biking, floating down a river or just lounging on a beach. I used to fish and would love to get into it again.

I am looking for whatever the Universe sees fit to provide. New friends, a lover, a relationship... It's all gravy.
