This name - serenoia - "came to me" many years ago. From where? Meaning what? I believe is describes a state if serenity and reflects my life aspiration which which I hope to be coming closer. A simple but complex condition, it is both internal and external, personal and social. Part of my refuge is in the Sangha. Suffering is false perception of separation and amongst the sangha I hope to find some individuals who will become close and supportive friends, and even one who will become a lover and husband.
I have been a secondary school teacher for more than two decades and have now left it behind to undertake lots of voluntary work. My daughter is about to graduate as a doctor and move away from home. I live with my dogs and aspire to a place in the countryside where I can grow food and live more closely with the planet which sustains us.
This may sound idealistic but it is nontheless realisable and I would love to be joined by other/s with the same vision of good living.
